About the MXL v67g mic
The MXL V67G is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone that has been part of MXL’s lineup for many years. It is most recognizable by its green body and gold grille, a design choice that makes it stand out visually compared to more traditional studio microphones. Internally, it uses a 32mm pressure-gradient capsule with a gold-sputtered diaphragm. The capsule is paired with Class A FET circuitry and a transformer-balanced output, a configuration aimed at delivering a smoother frequency response than the transformerless designs commonly found in entry-level condensers.
The MXL v67g internal circuitry is similar to that found on the Nuemann u87. In addition, its K67-style capsule is found in a lot of high-end microphones.
